Neste ano, especialmente, o pleito eleitoral reveste-se do drama de saúde que ainda nos assola – a pandemia da covid-19, que já vitimou mais de 130 mil irmãos e irmãs nossos pelo país afora. Mantenhamo-nos vigilantes para a preservação das nossas vidas e constantes na oração em favor das vítimas dessa trágica situação. Sabemos que a emergência sanitária trouxe ainda um aprofundamento das desigualdades históricas que marcam o nosso país, além de um agravamento crise econômica. São milhões de pessoas sem trabalho, sem perspectivas, sem esperança.
